Building our house

Hello, If you wonder why there hasn’t been many new paintings posted in the last year, it’s due to the fact that I’m embarked upon another project; a solo (95%) build of out home. My goal is to be painting much more in two years time, but the painting will continue to trickle in, so stay tuned.

The Mountains of Molenkamp and Speirs at Linda Hodges Gallery

The mountains delight us daily in Seattle, but some artists are especially inspired and see them in wildly different ways. Ryan Molenkamp renders them in bright, striated, acrylic patchworks, sometimes spewing pillowy columns of smoke. Cheerfully ominous. Meanwhile, Kentree Speirs sees them surging out of pale clouds and painterly splashes of rich, oily colors. Ominously beautiful. Across from each other at Linda Hodges, these painters will show quite a range . . . or cordillera, as it were.
